hope and love

there's too much injustice in the world
too many stereotypes
too much hype and lies and madness
we believe what we hear and see
but is that truth
popping pills and therapy
do we need all this to be free?

we need love for our brothers
love for our sisters
even if we cannot love ourselves
we must love others when we are ready
ready to love one another because if we can't
all humanity will crumble

so for your long weekend, do something for someone else
whether its a nod of the head or a tip of the hat
and know that if there is a higher force out there
he'll help guide us in the righteous way
love for our brother and sisters worldwide
at least we can only hope
and hope can go a long way to freedom
